Looks like the sort of light entertainment you’d see at a nursing home.

The radio shows are fucking brilliant.

They're all available on YouTube.

It's very rare I actually LOL at anything, but there's always one or two moments per episode that make me chortle heartily.

And old pal of mine always listened to him on the radio. Then when the TV series came out he got me onto that.

At first I thought it was just a bit stupid but started to warm it and by the end I thought it was great.

Although my mate still says the radio stuff is funnier.

Just go into it without trying to make too much of it and I am sure you will find it quite funny. Worth watching. Has some genuinely laugh out loud moments in between the silly stuff.

Exactly. I saw it on tv and thought it was some sort of "Last Of The Summer Wine" shit, then found myself LOLing at it.

I've been listening to the radio stuff on YouTube.

It is MAGNIFICENT.

Re: Count Arthur Strong
I've always been a massive fan of the Count. Started listening to him on radio4 15 years back. Last saw him in Chelmsford in 2010.
Just recently I've been picking up the CD's of his radio shows and believe it or not was listening to two of them earlier today. They are still brilliant.

By the way, the TV show, thanks to Graham Lineham, were a pale immitation of the radio shows. Nowhere nearly as funny as they fundamentally changed his character.

I think those that think he's shit have only seen the TV shows. After all I doubt there are too many on here that listen to R4.

Love the radio shows, he is much naughtier in those, usually ends up drunk.....TV series I didn't get to start with but it's grown on me.

Re: Count Arthur Strong
Saw him on tv, started off thinking it was rubbish, but was laughing like a drain by the end. Loved the tv series, discovered the long-running radio shows and have seen him live twice. So I like him, a lot. But I can understand that he might not be everyone's cup of tea.
